A few words to describe the man behind the name: small business owner, serial entrepreneur, technology enthusiast, endurance sports junkie. Mike lives and breathes his businesses every minute of every day. Prioritizing the short term and long term goals of his businesses is in the forefront of his mind at all times.

Mike embodies the title “serial entrepreneur”, always looking for an opportunity to take an idea from thought to action to a viable business model. While not every one of his entrepreneurial endeavors has been successful, each of them has taught him a valuable lesson that he continues to apply to current and future business ventures.

Going from being a consumer of technology to a developer of emerging technology trends, Mike has learned a lot about what works for his business and what doesn’t. In his own unique way, Mike developed a Salesforce platform that proved success and allowed his 40+ year old agency to run in the most modern way possible. Crushing goals left and right, Mike was able to grow his business from local to regional, and now on a national basis. Pushing the limits of his abilities and becoming a Full Stack Web developer, Mike thrives on finding new technologies that small businesses can leverage to not only grow, but vastly improve their quality of work/life balance.

As an endurance sports junkie, Mike learned that anything is possible. He went from a “there is no way I can do that” type of guy, to finishing his 14th Ironman triathlon on Ali’i drive at the Ironman World Championships. He has learned a great deal about self doubt, perseverance, and above all: believing in himself. These lessons attained during his ongoing endurance sports career have shaped him into the wonderful business owner, husband, and father he is today.

Di took a leap of faith and joined the McMeel family agency to work alongside her husband and father-in-law in January of 2009. Shortly after joining the team, Di received her Accredited Adviser in Insurance designation. From then on, she’s been our designated insurance guru!

Being a co-owner of the company, Di loves the flexibility and challenges that come along with owning a small business. Carrying on the McMeel Insurance Agency values of service and client friendships is something Di holds near and dear to her heart.

When Di isn't busy slaying the insurance game, you can find her reading a good book, cheering her children on at their sports competitions, or traveling anywhere she can go with her family.

A random fact about Di: her mom was a huge Princess Diana fan...hence the name!

Sharon is from the Mainline in Pennsylvania, and is currently living it up in the beautiful state of California! Sharon has two children, one in medical school and the other retired military. She also has a grandson to keep her on her toes, she calls him her little butterfly.

With a degree in accounting, Sharon has been in the insurance industry for a whoppin’ 24 years! As a fully licensed agent, she helps our agency in both producer and customer service roles in addition to being the agency flood insurance guru. Sharon joined the McMeel team in September of 2019 and has been crushing her insurance goals alongside Mike and Di ever since!

During her down time, you can find Sharon working hard to solve a cryptogram, escape room, or any other type of puzzle you throw her way. She also cherishes her family time a lot, spending most of her time off with her children and grandson.
